About payslip and police registration

Post by goodssb » Sun Nov 22, 2009 1:51 pm

Hi guys, I will apply for initial Tier 1 visa soon and have some questions regarding my application. I would be really appreciated if you guys could help me.

1. I am holding a dependent visa and I am currently working in the UK. I will have to go back to my country to make initial application. I will be treated as applicant outside of the UK, but my earnings will be UK earnings. I believe it should not be a problem, right?

2. My payslip is quite formal one, like many other paper payslips. It's an envelope and I need to tear the edge to open it. It has company's name and my position on the face and it says private and confidential. However, there is no company logo. Do you think it's good enough to be a valid payslip, or do I still need to request a letter from my company?

3. I need to register with the police during my stay. I did not register my previous address with the police. That means on my police registration, there is only my current address. However, some of my payslips and bank statements, which I will need to claim my points, show my previous address. Do you guys think it's gonna be a problem? As an applicant outside of the UK, it seems I am not required to submit the police registration. I don't know in my case whether it's the best practice to submit this.

Thanks a lot.

If you can get a letter, it would be a strong supporting evidence.

You said you are still working in UK, you should have your most recent address registered with police.

Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

Yes, I've registered my current address and my first address in the UK with police. However, I acutally have had three addresses and I did not register the second one. So my police registration shows only my first address and my current address, but some of bank statements and payslips were sent to my second address, which does not appear in my police registration. I am wondering whether it's gonna be a problem, or should I just not submit the police registration, as it's not required for applicants made from outside of the UK?
