Accomodation proof for TIER1 Dependants:

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for Dependent visa for my WIFE and 6 months KID.By the time I make the application the Studio apartment I am going to live will have 1 month duration left.Will that be ok or Is there any better way of approaching it?

Sugessions r welcome becoz I don't want to face rejection...

Tenancy Agreement which is valid at the time of application is OK but i would like you to see the other aspect HO looks into like is the accomodation adequate for the no. of people..

a child under one does not count as a person.

Can Studio apartment falls under this category((Number of rooms : 1)?

If this is the case, then I am good to go.

personally i wont send a tenancy agreement which has only one month left, its not a mandatory requirement but it creates doubts.

GET A NEW Agreement from estate agent

Ditto, if you are planning to extend the contract. Also mention in your cover letter that you will want to move house once your dependents are in UK.

I was also confused what to do regarding accomodation as I am currently living in a shared house which has got a double bedroom and quite a big house with 6 rooms and two toilets and showers, communal area and shared Spam...I was not sure to move to a 2 bedrom flat or studio flat but after going through the website

and after reading the following paragraph

"If the accommodation is not owned by the couple (or one of them), the Rules require that there be adequate accommodation which is for their exclusive use. This need not be as elaborate as a self-contained flat. It is acceptable for a couple to live in an existing household, e.g. that of a parent, uncle, aunt, sibling or friend, as long as they have at least a bedroom for their exclusive use."

My Mrs is going to apply for her dependent visa in Februry and I was sorting the issue of accomodation here in UK for her and also I believe if I write in my covering letter that I will want to move house once my dependent is in UK that will satisfy visa officer as well.

I need your comments regarding this issue...
