Invoices as Earning proof for IT Contractors.

Post by dreamer666 » Sat Nov 28, 2009 2:37 pm

Hello All

I am planning to apply for my Tier-1 (General) Visa after my current PSW visa expires in Feb 2010. I ve got all the max points which I can claim for Age, Qualification, Maintenace of funds. But for my previous earning I am stuck in quandary...I work as an IT contractor contracting through a umbrella company which pays me weekly I am on weekly £600 net income (since March 09). By calculating the same amount for 34 weeks I cross £20K this December, but in my payslip instead of taxable gross being £20K its just £12K cos of the expenses I am reimbursed(Food, Travelling, etc..) of being a contractor. But all my invoices clearly shows my net income is £600. I got in touch with 2 agents and explained them the whole thing, One of them says its not a massive problem and can be resolved by submitting my Tax consultant (Umbrella company) letter with breakdown of earning, (though the taxable gross is less) and would then be supported with my bank statements. and the other agent is demanding a ridiculous amount of money nearing £4K to make some forged papers as he says I ve got very less time left. I am just stuck in this 'What To Do' situation where my brain has stopped working. So Please pour in your replies if any one been in same problem before.

I would immensely appreciate any reply and Thanks a lot for listening to me.
