PBS: Qualification points: PGDM Vs Masters

Post by Prajakt24 » Sun Nov 29, 2009 5:33 pm

Hi,

I have a post graduate diploma in management from IIM but not sure if that is considered as master's degree. Can you please confirm:
1. If I qualify for Tier 1? Masters?
2. Can I claim the 35 points for my post graduate diploma in mgmt?

Many Thanks

But IIMs dont offer MBA, they offer PGDM only. Does that mean none of the IIM folks can apply for Tier 1?

Search this forum, you will find some relevant information. I am sure IIM was once granted Master's status but sometime back it was revoked and then granted again. Best way to start is search this forum,PBS calculator and NARIC.I searched this forum and found link below where IIM-Lucknow was granted Master's Status by NARIC. Hope this will help.

Thanks Chetan. Best way forward then is to get the comparbility letter from NARIC. But this confirms that I can claim 35 pts.
