Eligibility for UK Tier 1?

Hi,

Would you be so kind by leting me know whether I am eligible for UK Tier 1 Visa or not with below details:

1) I am pursuing 1 Yr MBA course from SELUM University Tamilnaadu India. Points calculator is calculating 35 points for this but I want to check with you as this is a distance learning.
2) I have done my BE in 2001
3) I have experience of 6 Yrs in SAP. Drawn salary in last year was 10000 Pounds in India
4) I have bank balance of 5000 Pounds or more.

So is it possible that I apply after my MBA degree of 1 yr of distance learning? Will I be eligible?

On UK GOV website system is calculating the point for this university and there is no check of distance learning or regular.

If PBS calculator awards you necessary points for your qualifications, you can claim these points. It is not important that your education was distant learning or not! The important thing is that your University should be listed in PBS calculator and it awards you necessary points.

How about your previous earnings, and English language requirements? Do you earn necessary points in these sections too? If yes, you can apply for Tier 1.

Dear Friend,

Thanks a bunch for the quick response.
I am a resident of India and earn 9800 pounds approximately (7.9 Lac per anum) in India. So system gives me enough points for earning as well.
I will be comleting my masters in English language and also I have done my B.E. in English language. How shoudl I check whther I get points for this or not as I assume this is mandatory to get.

You can use PBS calculator, provide details of your degree in "English Language Section" by selecting "Degree taught in English". If your degree gives you 10 points, you are fine. If it does not, you have to take IELTS, or any other of approved tests for Tier 1. http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=46156

I would suggest you to prepare well before time, as rules keep changing and who knows what new rules will bring? So, you should be submitting Tier 1 application, as soon as you get your results notified.

Hi Again Dear.

I would be very grateful if you can help me once again in finding the answer for the questions I have.

As per previous discussion once I will complete my MBA I will start preparing my FILE but I need to find the answer of my below question.

Before I ask my question I explain you the current situation as below:

1) I am an India resident. I am an employee in Indian Software MNC and I get my Indian salary in my Indian salary account as normal.
2) I am located in Norway (Europe) from 1 Year and will be here until December 2010 (approx may be more then that).
3) I get daily allowances here in Norway and accommodation from company etc.. This is not mentioned in my salary slip and I donâ€™t get any such document from my Norway's office. I get all daily allowances in one of my Prepaid Forex Account in Euros from my employer in India.

NOW MY QUESTION IS, CAN I APPLY FROM NORWAY FOR TIER 1?
If I can apply from Norway then what and how should I show my earnings?
Or I have to go to India and apply from there? If I go to India and apply from there Do I need to show any earnings for my Norway stay as I have been staying in Norway?

Please please help me.

I would be very very thankful of you if you can answer my these questions.
