Letter of Accommodation in UK

Post by Ozzee » Sun Dec 11, 2005 3:06 pm

Hello All,

Is it ok if a cousin who is living in UK in a rented place sends me a letter stating that i can live with him while i search for a job and get a place of my own.

Does an OWN place or a Rented place make a difference, and is there any limitations that he must have a Residency visa on his name in UK?

Ozzee.

Rented accommodation is not problem .... BUT .... the owner or agent of that accommodation needs to issue a letter stating that they have no objection to you moving in. That is certainly the case if your stay is going to be for a reasonably long period.

However if it is just going to be for a few days, say seven days or until you find somewhere of your own, then maybe don't bother to get that owner/agent letter.
