Need help on HSMP extension

Post by Syed_n » Fri Dec 11, 2009 12:36 pm

I am going to apply for HSMP extension to Tier 1 General in next 2-3 days.
My query is that can I claim my points for Previous Earnings for last 9 months from Salary and Self Employment instead of 12 months ( as I am meeting the required earning treshhold in last 9 months.)

or is it necessary to show last 12 months earnings.

I want to claim the last 9 months period for the purposes of simplicity.

Wating for a quick reponse from seniors.

If you score enough Earnings points from your 9months salary peroid u can go for it..

But make sure those 9months are consecutive and also fall in last 15months period..

Having said that.. you can choose any no. of month in the 12 consecutive months.. for ex:

in the last 12months Dec 2008 - Nov 2009 salary months which are 12consecutive months.. you can choose all 12months or less they dont need to be consecutive.. you can choose in between them.. hope i did not confuse you..

we can suggest if you can let us know which months you are planning to use...

Once again many thanks for the quidance.

Should I have to mentioned in the form or covering letter for claiming the period less than 12 months or just mention the above 9 months dates in the form and in covering letter.

Today I am finalising my forms and there are 2 more queries, can you please help me on that too:

1- I am claiming previous earnings from Employment and Self Employment for the period from 1.4.09 to 9.12.09, can i mention this period on the form?

2- Is there any requirement for me to register myself and my depenants with the Police before submitting our applications.

Please quide on these issues as I got stuck.

Regards,
