Masters Equiv?

Post by theinvisibleman » Fri Dec 18, 2009 2:13 am

I'm a composer, songwriter, producer with award nominations, press, high sales, etc... from Canada. I qualified for EB1 in the U.S., so I was hoping that there was something like that for the UK.

Are such things ever considered for points in the system? If no, are there other options.

Thanks

Check PBS calculator to see if you can earn enough points? http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/pointscalculator

What I'm asking is, do they ever take things like acclaim, awards and sales and apply points as work equivalent to a degree.

Like say, you're the guy who invents the flying car, but you don't have a masters... is it simply an addition of points, in the strict definition as presented in that points calculator?

thanks

If you do not have a masters degree but have a diploma that is equivalent to UK's masters, still you can get points for education in Tier 1.
