Change the 'wish to travel date'?

Post by Parrs » Tue Dec 22, 2009 12:57 pm

Hi,

I'd appreciate if anyone in this forum can help me with this:

I submitted the online application (Tier 1 general) early this month (Dec. 2009) and put down the 'wish to travel date' as 'Mar. 1, 2010'.

However things have changed after the biometric data appointment and I now want to travel in June or July, 2010.

I have not mailed/submitted my final application to Canberra yet.

Question:

1. Can I just cross out the original 'wish to travel date' and put down a new date like 'Jun. 15, 2010'? Would this be rejected as the departure date is 6 months away?

2. Or should I just delay posting my final application (with all supporting docs) until it's close to June? If yes, latest by when do I have to submit the application after the biometric data is collected?

Many thanks.

Not sure the rules for those applying in oz (Canberra).. but the below says..

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply ... nt#3885854
it is valid for the date on which you want to travel. (You can ask for it to be post-dated up to three months if you do not plan to travel immediately).
