2 jobs, 2 countries, overlapping residency!

Post by VINI_Jay » Mon Jan 04, 2010 7:47 am

Hello All:

I am planning on applying as a Tier 1 General applicant, but I have been earning in two different countries simultaneously:

12 months - UAE
5 months - UAE & Pakistan (recent)

During the last 5 months I have been employed by a new startup firm in Pakistan, and have been receiving my salary in Pakistan account. During the same time, I have continued my job in the UAE and have been earning here as well while wrapping up things in the UAE to eventually quit in the next month

I realize I have landed a quite unique and improbable situation, So I want to know if I will be able to show my Pakistan income as well and will be eligible to use it to earn the required points? Will the fact that I am legally resident outside of Pakistan while earning a salary in Pakistan increase my likelyhood of rejection?

Also not sure, which country should I apply from:Pakistan or UAE?

The document I plan to submit are:
1) Pakistan bank statement, employer salary letter and Pay slips
2) UAE bank statement, employer salary letter and Pay slips

I hope some of you can shed light on this and guide me a little over here.

Thanks!!

Can you provide little detail of what kind of setup you are working in? How are your earning in both the countries? Are you deputed in UAE by Pakistani firm? or vice versa? How are you paid in UAE/Pakistan i.e. allowance or full salary?
