Waiting time for Tier One passport Endorsement

Post by Ashleyoung » Mon Jan 18, 2010 6:56 pm

Hi everyone,

I urgently need some advice regarding my travel plan without Passport Endorsement (Tier One).

My appeal was granted by judge and i have just received a letter from Immigration and Asylum. I heard that i still need to wait for a final approval letter from Home Office, then i can submit my passport to Home Office for endorsement.

However, i have an urgent travel plan on 6th Feb 2010, which is about 3 weeks from now. Am i allowed to travel abroad? If no, is there any ways i can get my passport endorsed fast? I'm worried the airport immigration will not allow me to go through when i'm back to UK.

Please advice.

Thanks for your kind attention!

If you current leave has expired (or will expire before your date of return to UK), then you'll be denied entry into UK on your return. If this is indeed the case, then you must get your passport endorsed with a new leave to remain before you travel.

Whether UKBA will entertain your request of priority handling is at their discretion and will depend on your reasons for travelling.

No ... you can't change your immigration category temporarily and then request to re-instate the original one.
