Please don't make multiple posts on the same topic. And please post your query in the forum relevant to it.

This said, what do you mean by the term *international* marriage?

If you meant by International marriage, marriage that took place abroad under local law, it cannot be registered in UK. However, it can be recorded. Even for that there are some restrictions like you should be from one of the listed countries and I think one of the two should be a UK citizen(not sure about this).

Advantage is that you dont need to contact the foreign authorities every time you need your marriage certificate. You can get a certified photocopy of your original Certificate from the Register Office and is deemed as an official document to prove your relationship.

Not sure of any cons.

Correct! See Registering an overseas marriage or civil partnership

Cons - it isn't a shortcut for ILR and doesn't help in becoming British Citizen any faster.
