Document Check before applying

Hi All,

I have completed my document set for the Tier 1 General Visa application. I am a work permit holder currently in UK. Could experts please take some time out and review the list:

1. Age:Passport
2. 2 recent photographs
3. Earnings Source 1:Attested Salary Slips (Jan 2009 - Dec 2009)
4. Earnings Source 2:Bank Statements (Jan 2009 - Dec 2009)
5. Additional document for Earnings claim:Letter from employer on official letter head confirming monthly salary credit (This was required as the transactions for salary credit is done by a 3rd party)
6. Qualification:NARIC letter of degree comparability
7. English Language:IELTS Test Report with a band score of 8
8. Maintenance Funds: Bank Statements (Mid Feb 2010, Jan 2010) - For Dec 2009 and Nov 2009 please refer the earnings document. (Would mention this in the cover letter).

Am I missing something here? In all probability will apply in the last week of Feb 2010.

Responses would be much appreciated.

2. 2 recent photographs - Recent photos shd be less than 1month old
3. Earnings Source 1:Attested Salary Slips (Jan 2009 - Dec 2009)
4. Earnings Source 2:Bank Statements (Jan 2009 - Dec 2009) - Are these statements showing the ALL the salary credtis from Jan - Dec 09 in the account??
5. Additional document for Earnings claim:Letter from employer on official letter head confirming monthly salary credit (This was required as the transactions for salary credit is done by a 3rd party)

-Enclose self addressed Royal mail Special delivery envelope for faster delivery of documents once decision taken

Am I missing something here? In all probability will apply in the last week of Feb 2010.

Does this mean that the employer's name is a MUST to appear on bank statements ?

No it is not required for the company name to appear in the bankstatement.. as long as the NET Salary in the payslips match exactly with the amount Credited in the Bankstatement; you are good to ahead..

Everybody don't require police registration

If you need to register with police, the visa in your passport will say so

1. Yes, I have 12 bank statements indicating salary credit from Jan 2009 - Dec 2009. Should I highlight the salary transaction on the statements just to make it obvious to the case worker or will the altering of bank staements put him/her off? I know this would depend on individual case worker but I wanted to have a general opinion.

1. You can highlight them without distorting the numbers, using a pencil is better than highlighter..

2. If you need to register with police, the visa in your passport will say so - Does your previous visa say so? if not don't worry
