need help with some doubts for Tier 1, general migrant app.

Post by coolnads » Wed Feb 17, 2010 6:28 am

Have some common doubts with Tier 1, general migrant application. Kindly help.
1) Is original passport good enough for age proof?
2) Do I need to give mark sheets with my original master degree or just degree is sufficient?
3) Can I put this weeks conversion rates if I need to submit the application next week in my cover letter and other forms. Or it should be just one day before the submission?
Is there any guideline for this.
4) I am giving 12 month payslip and bank statement for my previous earning. Do I also need to give last 3 years form16?

1. Passport is enough for age

2. ORIGINAL Masters Degree is enough

3. For earnings - use xchange rate of the last day of the earnings period from OANDA
For Maintenance Funds - use xchange rate on the day you apply

4. Outside UK (in india) applicants are requested to provide 3yrs IT Returns-yes

1) Is original passport good enough for age proof? Yes it is enough
2) Do I need to give mark sheets with my original master degree or just degree is sufficient?Original Certificate of Award is enough no need of mark sheets, but if you want you can submit them as well
3) Can I put this weeks conversion rates if I need to submit the application next week in my cover letter and other forms. Or it should be just one day before the submission? For Maintenance fund : The exchange rate of overseas currency will be made using the OANDA rate conversion on the date of application. www.oanda.com
For Previous Earnings : 127. An applicant should use the closing exchange rate on the OANDA website at http://www.oanda.com/convert/classic on the last day of the period for which he/she has claimed earnings in that currency. This is an independent website, for which we are not responsible.
Is there any guideline for this.
4) I am giving 12 month payslip and bank statement for my previous earning. Do I also need to give last 3 years form16?Overseas applicants are normally advised to submit form 16s

Go through the policy guidance thoroughly and you will find all the answers for your queries. If any confusion, post back.
