Defering the Tier 1?

Post by immigration99 » Tue Feb 23, 2010 1:04 am

Hello folks,

Is it possible for me to obtain Tier 1 now and defer it for a period of time?
I am EastIndian and have lived in New York for 8 years now but still in the middle of Green Card process -- I want the Tier 1 as insurance in case I lose my job here.

thanks

You may request your visa issue date to be deferred for 3 months. Or you can defer travelling to UK anytime during the validity of your visa. That's it!

Try to apply as late as possible (making sure you qualify for the Tier1(G))

Give the date of Travel 3months forward from the date you apply

You are allowed to travel in UK as long as your visa is valid on or before the visa expiry day..
What is the latest date that I can arrive in the UK with my visa?

The expiry date shown on the visa is the latest date on which you can arrive in the UK, but remember that this is also the last day on which you are permitted to stay in the UK.
