Visa expiry in 2 months - Can re-enter UK before expiry ?

Post by HSMP1+3+1 » Wed Mar 03, 2010 1:02 pm

My friend is going back home today for about 2 weeks. His HSMP visa is expiring in mid May, means he has to apply for extension in end April.

Could anyone please confirm that he will not have any problem re-entring UK as long as he comes back before the HSMP visa expiry ?

Is there any condition to have atleast 6 months visa expiry to re-enter UK.

Please advise.

Thanks

No there is no condition.

There shouldnt be any problem.

It would be good to be prepared for any questions on his return. Maybe carry a few payslips, etc

well, on the paper, he should not have any problems since he has valid visa but you need to be prepared for all the possibilities.

It would be good if you can show the immigration officer your new application for extension along with supporting documents etc etc to convince him that you are planning to extend it from UK very soon.

regards
