Maintenance funds for dependent from my India bank account

Hi guys,

I got my tier 1 UK visa on Jan 2009 and i entered in Uk in Jan 2010.

I am in UK from last 2 months and I got good job as well. I am planning to get my wife dependent visa filed. she will be applying from India. My UK bank account does not have enough funds to show her "maintenence funds" but my India HDFC account does have proper funds from last 3 months.

This HDFC A/c is my salary account when I was in india and for my application(in Dec 2008) I had shown maintenence funds from this account only.

Can I show my India HDFC bank funds as her(dependent's) maintenence funds in this situation?

On the same maintenance query, Can i show maintenance funds from 2 sources?
1 Month from my bank account
2 months from my wife's bank account

And also, the maintenance funds are supposed to be 500 pounds per dependant. At what exchange rate would this be calculated? Am i wrong in assuming 80 as the default?

Main applicants funds should be shown in his own bank account

depedents funds can be shown in main applicants bank or dependents own bank account

you should take the xchange rate from oanda.com and the rate would be that on the date of application..
