is post graduate diploma from university eligible for tier1

i want to know that is the post graduate diploma from uk university is eligible forthe tier 1 general??
:arrow: coz was reading in the new rules. that for masters there are 35 points and for bachlors is 30. does any one know wheather post graduate diploma from uk university is equavalant to bachlors degree. can i apply for tier 1 genral, according to the new rules?????????? please help

Did you try using the points based calculator to check your qualification?
If not, suggest you do.

f you currently have a Masters degree and meet the requirements for the UK Tier 1 visa it may be worth applying now. UK Immigration will probably be making significant changes to the requirements for the UK Tier 1 visa very soon.

In early December 2009 the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) recommended various changes to the Tier 1 visa scheme. MAC recommended that those with a Bachelors degree and not just those with a Masters Degree or equivalent should be able to come under the Tier 1 visa. This will benefit many people. However, MAC also said that there should be a substantial increase in the thresholds under which you can gain points for previous annual earnings.

Are you looking for answer(s) to your queries ...... or are you pinning your hopes on recommendations that the government is under no legal obligation to accept / follow?
