Doubt for Tier 1 prev earnings and suff balance ....

Post by muditmalhotra » Sat Mar 13, 2010 4:56 am

Hi All
for the prev earnings i have a doubt ,
my prev earnings include my salary and bonus, i get salary slips for my salary but get nothing for my bonus , it is entered in bank as

Bonus payout -- xxxx rs

On asking my company they denied that they cant give me the bonus slip or something like that but instead they gave me a salary certificate which says my annual package is xxxx and bifurcation of which is
Basic - xxx
exec. allownce - xxxx
transport allownce - xxxx
BONUS XXXX

so now i have a letter which says i m entitled for bonus, but again this is a variable bonus that too which is paid bianually
like half in july and half in feb,
i have two entries in my bank statement of bonus payout, but total of both of them dosent meets the figure in salary certificate provided by company.. everyone here insists that figures should exactly match,,
so how should i go about it ??

One more question, that i m claiming my prev earnigs from 1 march 09 to 28th feb 10, so in this case my salary for feb 2010 was credited in to my account on 3rd march ,, will they consider it as valid thing or should i change my dates of calculating prev earnings ??

Also, my prev earnings are in one account and sufficient balance is in another bank, should i specifically write that bank X is for prev earnings and Y is for suff balance ??

Bank in which my salary is deposited has sent me my bank statement on a paper that has Bank name and is a runnig dot matrix print.. but has no sign on stamp ,,, but its original stationary,, will that do ? or to be on safer side should i go and get it stamped ??

for my sufficient balance when should i get the statement, like my appointment is next week, so if i get it today,, it takes a gap of like 10 days will it b ok ?

kindly guide on above points

thanks

Also, in some posts i read that salary entries in bank statements to be highlited,

should we highlight the salary and bonus statemetns in bank statements ? wont they consider it as tampering ??

personally, i would highlight the relevant transactions. tempering is when you are changing figures or defacing bank logo or something like that. remember case worker will need to go though last 12 months' transaction in your bank account and match it with pay slips. If you can help him out by clearly highlighting (use yellow coloured highlighter) the relevant transactions, i am sure he/she will appreciate that as you have made their lives just a tad easy.

regards.

PS. i also would want to know the replies of your questions in previous post as they r very valid questions.

Can you get a letter from your employer stating the total gross and net amount paid to you in the period your are claiming (including bonus)?
Below is an excerpt from the policy guidance
(Where an employer letter includes only total gross and net earnings figures for the whole earnings period claimed, we will consider this document. However, only where the dates of the earning period and the total gross/net earnings stated in the letter exactly correspond with the information included in the other documentary evidence of these earnings provided, will we be able to award points.)
One more question, that i m claiming my prev earnigs from 1 march 09 to 28th feb 10, so in this case my salary for feb 2010 was credited in to my account on 3rd march ,, will they consider it as valid thing or should i change my dates of calculating prev earnings ??

I think you can leave the dates like that and explain in your cover letter that you get your salary on the 3rd of next month or if your worried about it, change the dates.
Also, my prev earnings are in one account and sufficient balance is in another bank, should i specifically write that bank X is for prev earnings and Y is for suff balance ??
Yes, you could explain about it in your cover letter and also put a sticky on each set stating 'statements for previous earnings', 'statements for maintenance fund'. This will help the case worker and will be easier for him/her.
Bank in which my salary is deposited has sent me my bank statement on a paper that has Bank name and is a runnig dot matrix print.. but has no sign on stamp ,,, but its original stationary,, will that do ? or to be on safer side should i go and get it stamped ??
Better get them stamped and signed.

yes it will be ok. the statement date should be within one month of your application date

can the dates be like 4th march 09 to 03 march 10 ?,, as in need not be start and end month dates ?
