ILR eligibilty after away for a while

Post by Qwerty » Tue Mar 23, 2010 4:24 pm

Hello Everyone,

I have question regarding ILR application, should I apply now or not?

I will explain you my case. I came to UK on a visitor's visa in October of 2003. I found a job in February of 2004 and converted my visa to 'permit free training visa' in Feb. Then in August of 2005 I applied for HSMP and was approved.
In August of 2008 I went to my home country for delivery of my child and came back in June 2009. And since then I have been in the UK. I have payslips for all the months I was absent from the country.
My HSMP is expiring in July so I am thinking of applying for ILR before my visa expires.
I would like to get your suggestions should I apply for ILR or I should think of extending to Tier 1?

Your suggestions, comments, questions is greatly appreciated.

Thank you
