Name of institution and tutor on application form mandatory?

Hi all

My friend wants to apply for psw visa, he has cleared acca foundation level which is equivalent to uk bachelors degree (This is confirmed by ACCA and NARIC). He has got the certificate from ACCA confirming he has cleared foundation level.


My question is on application form it is metioned to specify the "Name of Institution" and "Name of tutor", (G3 and G4 on psw application form) are these mandatory? if yes then what should be written in these fields. the college where he passed ACCA Foundation level is now closed.

I am not sure.. but i believe tat u should be more worried abt an ACCA degree being qualified for a PSW.

I don't think clearing the ACCA fundamental levels qualifies to apply for a PSW. It is equivalent to a bachelor's degree but not an actual degree. You have to have a degree which is awarded by Oxford Brookes University in the partnership with ACCA in order to be eligible to apply. That is what I was told when I'd finished the fundamental levels and thus I did get a degree from the university by submitting and passing two required reports. Now I hold a PSW visa.

you said that you hold PSW now!i am very happy for u... i am doing RAP for nov submission.. you sure that one can get a PSW visa even though i studied acca at other college and not OBU..and if yes then i will require a certificate and a letter from the institute i studied in! right? does this certificate comes from OBU or the college i studied acca in?? your reply would be appreciated...thanks

Thanks rocky30189. You need a certificate and a letter from the OBU for a PSW application, not an institute that you studied at. You will receive the certificate from the OBU if you passed, and then will need to request them to issue the letter for you. I got my PSW in June 2010. By the time you know your RAP result, things might be changed so I recommend you to check your concerns again before you apply for PSW. Good luck with your research project.

What will we need put in section of College you studied. Is it OBU or the actual college where we studied ACCA.

I don't know what you will need. What I did was instead of filling the section enclosed a letter explaining about ACCA and OBU, and listed all the institutions. If you want to make sure you should call UKBA and ask about it.
