4yrs FLR ??

Post by ZINX » Wed Mar 22, 2006 10:57 am

Hi,

With the new rules being implemented from 3rd April, should we expect that those applying for FLR after 3rd April will get an extention of 4 yrs instead of 3 yrs.

Is there anything said about this from Home-office.

Regards,
Zinx

Post by ZINX » Wed Mar 22, 2006 12:36 pm

Lynn132,

Thanks for your reply, but I'm looking for info on FLR not on ILR.

I'll be completeing one year on HSMP in May, so if i apply for extention after 3rd April will I be lucky to get 4 yrs extention.

Cheers,

Most likely you'll get a 3 year extension. Even after the amendment the Immigration Rules stipulate that extension can be given for a maximum of 3 years at a time.

It seems the whole immigration system is now a money making machine for the gov't.

If this the case £350 per person for 1 year (because you will only need it for 1 year before qualifiying for ILR).

This question has been asked via email to the Home Office, who responded that they did not know. None of us will know until someone actually applies. For me that will be next month.
