discretionary leave to expire

discretionary leave to expire

Hi ppl

Seeking some guidance please, my relative was given discretionary leave limited leave to remain for 3 years which expires this year he is 15 years of age. At what point will he or shall he be eligible to permanently remain in the UK?

Last week he received a letter from the UK border agency requesting details of him and also they have requested him to complete HPDL form

He is currently studying my father is looking after him and i believe he is receiving child benefit

Hi

From my experience , he is not eligible for ILR, He needs to spend 6 years.(2 x discretionary leave)

So correct me if i am wrong he will need to complete form hpdl to get another 3 year extension and then be entitled to permanent leave?

I believe it's another 3 years, 6 in total before he qualifies for ILR.

Having seen the title of this thread, "Discretionary leave to expire", I hasten to assure everyone that foreigners do not require permission to die in the UK.

Don t be afraid of spending few extra pounds on a good sollicitor to help u to fill in your application properly. IT could take months to catch up a mistake. TAKE IT FROM ME

LMFAO :D But who will pay the for the Funeral? I think the Home Office will soon seek applications for this and require 6 months prior bank statements and pay slips. Else no permission to die will be granted. :lol:

One way of getting eternal life I suppose. :wink:

Cheers for the advice ppl! having contacted one immigration solicitor to assist in completing the HPDL form i was quoted £750! :shock:

Whats the going rate?

I have not idea , It depends on wht grounds he got his leave , cos some asylums seeker don t pay for the application .
