inviting parents to wedding

Post by sansan » Sun Sep 26, 2010 12:52 am

I would like to invite my parents to my wedding in the uk, but as a holder of a 6 months marriage type visa as a fiance, I doubt I am in a position to sponsor or invite?

Thus, if my fiancee invites them does it then make it a "general visit" rather than a "family visit" because technically he is not family yet?

Also, although I will be inviting my parents, they will stay at a hotel, or at another relative who lives in London...

So, in the forms it seems there is no hotel option, there's a question like "what is the address of the relative you are visiting"... hmph

So if they are staying with my uncle in London, for example, should he send the letter? Wouldn't it be weird an uncle inviting my parents to my wedding although they would be staying at his place?

how should I go about this?

does anyone have any experience with wedding invitation?
