UK base salary + Self emploment in India

Post by mathish » Thu Sep 30, 2010 12:43 pm

hi

I am goign to apply for Tier 1 visa, currently my UK base salary is £20000/year and have documents to prove that.

Secondly i have been working as a design consultant for Indian companies and have recieved consutlation fees or salary in the form of invoices in INR. Now will this income be considered for the PBS.

Please let me know quickly because this is a bit concerning.

you will have to show lots of paperwork to convince UKBA that your work was genuine.
there are LOTS of threads related to this .....
In most probability UKBA will investigate this (as many people are doing this ... and getting paperwork in asia is easy).. so expect some delays ...

Yes, provided you can submit documentary evidence(s) for this income as prescribed in the policy guidance. Please note that you will not be able to apply uplift factor / multiplier ratio to this income.

hi all

but i thought one could use a multiplier factor as they dont say one cannot, since it is self employment one does not need to be present in the home country.

besides i have the information on the bank transaction and invoices which is approved by a registered accountant.

Reading the policy guidance carefully will help.

thanks for your reply

even if i managed to show my self employment earnings at INR 8,00,000 for 12 months with all the relevant documents, will this be counted????

if i dont apply the uplift factor will this earning be counted in GBP equivalent...

then my total earning would be

UK earning= £20000

self employment (india) earning =INR 7,50,000 = £10000 approx

is this acceptable..........

yes, it is acceptable with sufficient documents ..
but do remember if they suspect any fraud or production of fake documents then 10years ban and will cancel your present visa as well...
