Help me please to solve -28 days Mystery

Post by neal77 » Tue Oct 19, 2010 1:55 pm

Got HSMP visa on 28 March 2007
Arrived UK 26 April 2007
Current TIER1 visa expires on 28 March 2012

The guidence says that to apply for ILR or for that time probitionary citizenship should be 5 year -28 days.
Is that mean that I should apply 27 March 2012 ?
Am I calculating right? Please help me....

Under current rules, you may apply for settlement no earlier than 28 days before 5th anniversary of your entry in the UK. If your current leave expires more than 28 days before your 5th anniversary of date of entry in the UK, then you'll need to apply for (another) extension.

When you may be eligible to apply under probationary citizenship laws can only be known when earned citizenship law(s) are implemented and associated procedures / changes are announced by UKBA.
