Regarding Academic reference

Post by Ravee » Wed Apr 26, 2006 9:47 pm

Hi,
I'm Ravi and I work as a Senior Lecturer in a college in India. I’m completed my PhD in Thermodynamics from Russia and I have around 10 years of experience as a Lecturer. The college I work here holds my original degree certificates and getting it back from them before quitting the job is kind of tough. When I looked into the application form for HSMP, it says I can provide degree certificates or Academic reference. If I provide just Academic reference (Planning to get reference from the college where I got my PhD.), will they accept or do I definitely need to provide my degree certificates too? I can provide the notarized copy of my degree certificates and mark sheets. Please shed some light and it would be of great help. Thanks and expecting a response.

Regards,
Ravi

convincing your current employer seems like easiest way.

But they will accept academic reference and try to send notorised copies also. Each application is considered on their own merits they say.
