Naturalisation: Daughter doesnt live in the UK

Post by maxima » Wed Jun 07, 2006 10:42 am

Hi,

I am looking into AN(New) form for British Naturalisation.

Section 2: Children under the age of 18
2.1 Give details of any children who are not already British citizens, and
citizens, as part of this application. Continue on page 14 if necessary.

I have daughter who lives in my home country with her mother (my ex-wife)... He never been in the UK and has no ILR.

Is it possible to make her British citizen along with my application ?

Thank you.

Hi,

I am not sure about this, but i think you can only include your dependant children in this section of your application. So i think you cannot inlcude any children from previous marraige, who lives (as per the court order on child custody in the divorce order) with your ex-wife.

But i could be wrong, please wait for other member's comments.

Others may be able to comment further, but as the child doesn't have ILR and doesn't necessarily have a future in the UK, I would think the answer is no.
