Procedure for changing a student visa to spouse visa

Post by sheena » Mon May 09, 2011 10:18 am

Hi, I am currently on a student visa in UK (expires in October 2011), my country of origin is India. I have recently got married to a British Citizen. Can anyone let me know how I go about changing my visa to a SPOUSE VISA.. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks...

Thank you very much for the details. Do you think it is advisable to instruct a lawyer or is is something that is straughtforward to do by myself. Any advice/experience on this would be great.

No lawyer necessary. It's very straightforward.

if you are not attending classes, have poor attendance or worked more than permitted hours then it wont be straightfoward, but if you are abiding by your student visa and meet all the requirments then there is no need for lawyer.
