Fiance visa - emails in spanish and when to apply.

Hi all

I am Mexican. I've been living in the UK since August 2009 on a student visa while doing my Masters. I got engaged to my British boyfriend of 3+ years last Easter, and we are planning a church/traditional wedding.

My student visa expires the 1st of July. I'm going back to Mexico to apply for the fiance visa. The problems are:

1.
I took the IELTS more than two years ago, so I did the First from Cambridge but they can't give me the certificate before the end of August. Could I apply with the expired IELTS, a letter with the results of the FCE and a letter from my University saying that my course was thought in English?

2.
Can I go to Mexico and apply as a marriage visitor visa, then get married, come back to Mexico and apply for settlement, and therefore save 800 pounds? I know I'll have to wait in Mexico until the visa is granted (if). Or should I pay double fiance+settlement visa because it is the only way they will take me seriously?

3.
As I can apply online, can I apply while in the UK and then submit the documents when I arrive to Mexico? I understand you can make your appointment.

4.
My fiance knows Spanish so many of our emails are in Spanish. Do I have translate them all? Does it have to be certified translations?

Oh I'm sorry.. Question 2 already answered by NT1234 in this forum:

"May be unwise if you apply for a visit visa knowing you have intention to apply for settlement visa in the next year...the condition of prove for these two types of visa works in the opposit way......you need to prove strong ties back home for a visit visa (so the eco is convinced she will return home after her visit), for the settlement visa one of the criterias (of many) is to prove she has no one to turn to in home country, so no ties"

Why don't you marry and switch prior to 1 July 2011?

I know of one legal advisor who successfully applied for a client recently with an IELTS certificate older than 2 years as they were able to show that they had continued to use English in their studies.

Because my boyfriend wants a church/traditional wedding. We are going to see the vicar next Thursday, the processes take ages.
