10 yrs gap--- 5 months possible

Does anyone here know of anyone who got ILR on ten year with a hugh gap, possible 5 months. is this possible or is it a waste of time. this is mostly due to appeals and refusals and jrs

It would be more easy to understand the gap issue if you could give bit more information. I am not an expert but one thing I know that if you fully explain the issue then the help is not far away.
