ILR Question

Post by flrm_help » Sun Oct 02, 2011 7:54 pm

Hi

Ive been in this country since 2005 when I was under 18 and have paid 10s of thousands of pounds in tax in the last two years. Never used or plan to use (god forbid) any public funds, and have to apply for ILR which expires on 16th Oct.

I only have two questions

a. I have a bal over £50k but its on my business bank account as I didnt want to exceed the 10%band for the tax. Would they take a dim view of this?

b. I am struggling with cohab documents as my other half's family home is only 2min drive so we never really bothered to change all the addresses.

Everything else is in order, I am planning to apply same day premium.

What else would you suggest?

Thanks

If you are lacking paperwork proving joint address it would be foolish to apply in person. If there is any tax evasion, even more so. You mention a 'business account'. Is this a Limited company? Will you have HMRC tax returns to submit with the application?
PEO appointments are for 100% straightforward applications. You risk the application being either rejected or joining the postal queue for the premium fee, with no priority.
Do you have nothing during the 2 years showing joint co-habitation?

What would happen if they reject my application, so you say I need to apply postal.

We lived with my mum and dad until about a month or so ago when we moved above our business premises again which is owned by mum and dad.

Hope this helps.
