Member of Family Reunification Stamp after Naturalization

Post by tony_me » Tue Nov 15, 2011 8:00 pm

Hello.

I am a family reunified member to a refugee ( my father ) residing in Ireland with Stamp 4 GNIB.
I was wondering after my father gets naturalized, will my GNIB stamp changes to Stamp 4 EUFam?
and if not, what will be my immigration status after he becomes Irish Citizen? will i remain under family reunification to a refugee under refugee act, or will i become Family member of Irish citizen?
I am so confused :(

Thanks a lot

once your father become irish citizen he is not refugee anymore he can also travel to his country of origin on irish passport if he feels safe to travel. if you are on stamp 4 your stamp will stay the same even after your father get naturalisation. stamp 4eufam is for spouses of eu citizens living in Ireland. even spouse of Irish citizen is only entiteled for stamp 4.

Thank u so much for clearing that out for me.
But will my status remain family reunification under refugee act or will it change?
I mean like if my father passed away ( God forbids of course ), usually if under family reunification, it would cease, so if this happened while my father has been naturalized, i will still be able to live in Ireland with stamp 4?

Thanks again :)
