@ Kumardeep123

It doesnt matter if you are a graduate or not. The job has to be at a graduate level.

For starters, you should browse through the Code of Practise which lists down the jobs and their relevant skill level in addition to the salary scales.

Also, it would be worth noting that only your basic salary is considered and not your comission.

This is just my personal opinion from the research I've done.

I am planning to make my application and I am working as a Sales Executive and I am a master level qualified- do you think my job is a graduate level job- my salary is 22k plus i have earned 5000 in commission in last 6 months
I replied to your previous post pointing you at the right direction.

Why don't you first read the SOC and see if you can find your job title there ? Then we can go from there.

Please don't expect people to spoon feed you. First do your basic research. If you are not sure about something post here and lot of nice people here will help you. Sorry didn't mean to be rude but you seem to post in every other thread asking the same question again and again. Always continue on your existing thread so people can help you more effectively.

Hmmm, Did you look for ALL JOBS with "Sales" ? I suggest you first try and match your Job "Description" to the once in the SOC, Find the job description that matches closely with what you do then look for the job title for that description. This is what UKBA recommends as well..

If you do put down the wrong SOC code you will be refused. I think its worth spending some money on some Professional advise so you wont be disappointed in future. If the salary falls below the required amount you could try and persuade your Boss to increase and match it !

1. will the soc code 1152 apply and will my salary be then enough.
How much salary does "Account manager" need to earn according to the SOC ? If its 22K then you should be fine. Make sure to check with the SOC code.

kumardeep123 wrote:Hi now my salary is 22k based on 35 weeks emplyment contract and the need for account manager salary is £11.64 calculated on the basis of 37.5 hours a week.- turns out to be £22698.00. Where I am lost is coz I only work 35 hours a week do I still have to show annual income of £22698.00 or I am fine with £11.64*35=£407.40/ week*52= £21184.80 ???
Standard Hours are calculated based on 37.5Hours a week. So I believe you fall behind the required amount. If your job is in Hourly paid basis in SOC Section its very important you calculate the correct amount (I was on a annual earnings section according to SOC and I put down 40 Hrs and it didn't affect my application. But I read here once someone got refused cause they calculated hourly basis and the salary didn't match the required amount as specified by SOC for 37.5hrs)

Also Full time employment requires 37.5 - 40 Hours per week. I think TIER2 Requires Full time employment. I'm not sure about this but I strongly believe so. Wait for an expert advice.

kumardeep123 wrote:Hi Madona 587- Please help me clarify this..

My title have now been changed to Account Manager which relates to soc code 1152- £11.64/hr is the required salary. However I am not paid on hourly basis and my salary is in Gross £22000/annum. I believe you had a similar situation.
Does SOC says for the Job title "Account Manager" annually you have to earn £22000 ? If so you should be fine in my opinion. But make sure you calculate this for 37.5 hrs just for a peace of mind. And ask your HR to put down 37.5 Hrs in COS and in your Application form as well.

Bear in mind my advise is purely based on my knowledge and its NOT professional advise. :)

Dear Madona, I am making my application now PSW to Tier 2- would you have a sample copy of the Tier 2 application form or do you know if I could find it somewhere.
