Family Visit Visa translation of documents

Post by DemiGod » Sat Mar 17, 2012 11:00 am

Hi I was wondering my niece applied to her UK embasy to visit us in the UK. We have submitted all evidence but she has been rejected and we are going through a tribunal service now. I was wondering what is the LAW for the UK on translated documents from farsi (persian) to english for a tribunal service?

Also if I got a sworn translation from a large coperation in america from farsi to english for a tribunal in the UK (England) would this be okay?

Any help would be greatfully accepted.

Thanks, DemiGod.

Do you mean that you have appealed? What was the precise wording of the original refusal statement; what immigration paragraphs were cited?

are you saying that the original documents that were submitted to the embassy where your niece applied in farsi with no English translations?

if so, it would be much quicker to apply again than appeal, and submit translations of documents in English this time

She applied for a family visa (for a total of 3 weeks visit) and was refused. its gone to a tribunal service.

to summaries ive got all the contents but they told her also she "did not have strong econmic ties to iran"

I have provided a letter stating her exam dates and how she is too far into her exams to not go back to iran for study. (nearly 4th year of a bsc) and also that she is studying islamic law (completely pointless and useless subject for the UK)

they also stated we had not provided any form of income so we provided a letter from my employer stating i earned £300 a week signed and stamped (with a business stamp) and that I had been working there since 2008.

I also provided a letter stating we own a house worth 180k and that its a 4 bedroom detached and has no morgages or loans against or on it.

I also have gotten a bankstatement which states we have 2.3k GBP in my account which I am happy to use. My son has also provided his bank statement which shows 3k in his account which he will be happy to use.
what I want is for her uni letters to be translated. My question is, if I got them translated by a sworn translation service in the US would this matter? Would this be acceptable?

Why the US? What is the significance of the USA?

the advanatges for the company in the US... A. its cheaper B. its a huge company that does it C. UK companies that I have found that do translations tend to be small. http://www.foxhunting.com/ what I am asking is... does it matter if i get it translated here or does it/must it be translated in the UK?

Thats right. As long as the person(company) translating it, is qualified to do so,it should not matter where it is done
