Indian Passport for BC father

Hi,

I have received my naturalisation in Feb. My wife is on ILR. Our child was born in March in India. (I have applied for my British Passport and waiting for it.)
We want Indian Passport for our child since he is born in India. Can we get it as neither me nor my wife is resident in india for last 7 years?
If so what is the procedure to get it.
Apart from residence issue, one of the requirement to apply for Indian passport where one of the parent is foreign citizen is:
• the parents would also be required to furnish a certificate from the Embassy of the country to which the foreign parent belongs certifying that neither any application has been made for passport to the minor nor has the minor been issued any passport by that country.

Can you please advise how to get this certificate from British Embassy in India. How much is the fees and how much time it takes?

Your child is British from birth. He shouldn't apply for ILR but for Right of Abode entitlement certificate.
