Sponsored but applying for a visitors visa whilst unemployed

Hi, last year I sponsored my Ukrainian girlfriend of 4 years for a visitor's visa which was successful. She was then a government employee.

We would like to obtain another visa this year prior to getting married sometime later in the year and then moving on to a marriage visa.

However, she is currently unemployed. How would you rate our chances? If rejection is likely, would it be better not to apply for fear of her getting a bad mark before our crucial marriage visa application?

Does she have any other ties that she can prove?

Not here, she came to visit me. But she has a son and and an aunt in Ukraine which may carry some weight if they're concerned about her returning.
