Past five years of P60s

Post by lonelyuk » Wed May 02, 2012 2:59 pm

Guys,

What is the exact purpose of this? What does UKBA try to ascertain from these? Are there any specific requirement one needs to meet, i.e. in regards to employment periods / salary etc? Many thanks for your input.

The following should help you...

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=79378

Q - Do I require P60s for all 5 years?
A - It is advisable to have P60s as that is the easiest way to provide evidence of your ecomonic activness (for Tier 1 holders) and to confirm that your employment was in line with visa that was granted (for Work Permit holders). If you do not have P60s, then you can call HMRC and they can send you a letter showing your tax history and income for last 5 years. Usually the HMRC letter arrives within 2 weeks.
Alternatively, one may use payslips covering the period for which P60(s) is missing.
Do note that some caseworkers ask for P60s for all the five years and some don't. No one can tell you whether or not your caseworker will ask for them (and how many), so the best suggestion is - be prepared for the worst and hope for the best!
