Hi guys,
I am going for my Tier 1 General extension in a couple of months and getting all the documents together at the moment. As part of the previous earning requirement I will be showing earnings made during an expat assignment I undertook on behalf of my employer.
So these “foreign earnings” were paid into a bank account in Germany and as I was paid by the German branch of the company. As such the descriptions for various things in the payslips are in German, such as accommodation allowance, vehicle allowance etc.
My question is do I need to get these translated? The bank statements themselves are in English and the amount paid into the account and the final total on the payslips concur. But I am afraid that UKBA might think that these allowances were paid as reimbursements. The allowances actually make up my remuneration package which is allowed according to the rules but not if they were as reimbursements as you probably know.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Can you please share any similar experiences? I am thinking of getting them translated just in case the caseworker is having a bad day!
Cheers
