Are you registered as self employed with hmrc? If so, do you have last financial years tax return? How much was your gross income according to the tax return?sayma wrote:I am self employed,
and will be submitting my husbands paper work begining of September.
I wanted to know what paperwork I would have to submit for the business. Ie bank statements, business accounts, business bills?
Under the current rules (post 9th july) there is nothing like "something along the lines" documents. There are very specific requirements that have been laid out depending on type of employment/earning.harv wrote:Hi sayma
In terms of self employment, you should be providing something along the lines:
Last Accounts copy
Accountant's letter detailing your annual income - in form of PAYE and Dividends
Dividend Vouchers - if any paid to you
Pay slips
Your bank statements - reflecting the dates and amounts on payslips and dividends
P60
In terms of showing your self employed status, I think the above should be sufficient. However it would be beneficial to provide any HMRC confirmation letter if any.
