Dependent children required in person for appointment?

Post by bhargah » Wed Aug 08, 2012 3:17 pm

Hi

I have booked an appointment for ILR in couple of weeks time. I am applying with 3 dependents - wife and 2 sons (one 3 year old and another 2 months old). Can somebody advice if Case worker and/or for biometrics processing will my sons be required? I dont intend to take them unless they need to be present in person for some specific reason. I couldnt locate any mandate/requirement on this on UKBA website either.

If anybody has applied for premium service but not taken their dependent children can provide some guidance that will be helpful.

Thanks very much!

You need to take them with you. They don’t need to enroll finger prints but they still need to get their photo done.

Before 29th Feb 2012, parents could leave young kids at home as there were no biometrics for ILR applications, but now all dependents need to attend the appointment.
