When can I register my children as British Citizen after ILR

Hello,

Thanks for all your help, we have been successful in getting our ILR through PEO, we are still waiting for the biometric cards to arrive.

Just like many of you, I didnt include my children in the ILR application and their Tier 1 dependant visa expires on Jan 12, 2013.

Would it be a problem registering them as BC after the Tier 1 dependant visa expires ?
Do we need to wait for the biometric card before we apply using MN1 or just the ILR approval letter is enough?

Any time from now until they are 18.
Approval letter is fine.
