does MN1 referee has to know us for more than 3 years?

Post by shahid2000 » Fri Feb 08, 2013 2:02 pm

I am applying for my son's BC using MN1 under section 1(3).
I was going through some posts on this forum and some one mentioned that the referee has to know the person for more than 3 years.
I have read the guide and everything but i did not see anything mentioned about referee knowing you for so many years.

Is this true that the referee has to know the person for 3 years??? Where is it mentioned?????

Hi Shahid200,

I am in the same boat as you. Please see the below post.

I haven't seen anywhere it says that refereee should know the application for certian years. Hope moderator or seniors will clarify this.

Thanks

Well, it isnt possible if the child is less than 3 yrs.

I have read that they are not too stringent on Section1(3) referees as long as they meet basic standards - profession, exemplary community members, etc.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.
