Moving to France - Irish wife Non EU husband

Post by mauritania » Thu Feb 14, 2013 12:18 pm

Hi,

Myself and my husband were thinking of moving to France to look for work. I am an Irish Citizen and my husband has stamp 4 residency in Ireland. He also holds permanent residency in Spain so he should be able to enter France under Shengen (please correct me if I'm wrong)

We have no clue where to start looking for information regarding getting my husband a work permit. So any websites or anything that can help us get a better understanding of how the process works would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Move to France, your husband can apply for a residence card if you exercise treaty rights. No work permit is required.
