Post by jayjj_uk » Fri Feb 22, 2013 7:41 pm

Want to give a great thanks to all on this forum, wife was issued a spouse visa in Kingston Jamaica after 6 weeks and neither of us got a phone call to ask any question, only an email to come in to collect documents as they are ready. I was about to pay a lawyer a lot of money to do this but found this forum, so it can be done without.

Things to note for anyone, i presented each section with a header listing what was in that section then did an index of all that's included all put together in a folder, however they got my wife to take everything out the folder and to separate the originals from the copies and place the copies at the back.

Congratulations, and thanks for sharing.
We've been waiting approximately 6 weeks ourselves, so this gives us some hope. Although in our case it may take a few weeks longer, as all applications submitted in Sierra Leone are sent to the visa section in Accra, Ghana (takes a week at least), and of course have to be returned back to Freetown, Sierra Leone when a decision is made.

Thanks
6 weeks is very short for Jamaica as most people i know went the full 3 months who have done it before me. It took time to gather the documents but all has paid off and as i never got a call from them, i felt it was going to be a refused when i saw the email to say documents ready for collection.

Your welcome.

Yes it does look like things are improving as my wife just recieved a call today to collect her documents tomorrow, which will be 6 weeks and a few days in our case.
We just hope it's good news tomorrow, btw we got married 3 years ago but due to my health it has taken this long.
