Hi everyone:
I'm preparing my British Citizenship application together with my wife and have a couple of questions which answers I cannot find on the web and I'm getting a bit frustrated with it (even after sending email to UK border they only replied with an electronic standardized email which did not addressed questions at all) so trying here with you fantastic people.
Let me also say that I am an EEA national living in the UK for over 10 years and holding Permanent Residence and my wife is a Russian citizen also holder of Permanent Residence (we have also both passed successfully the Live in the UK test). We have 2 kids and both have British Citizenship since birth.
So here the questions:
1) Section 3 of the application form "Good Character Requirement" requires me to insert my occupation, if I am employed or self-employed etc..., name of the employer or business. On this section I'm a bit unsure what to write about myself. For my wife it is easy as she is a primary school teacher so we have all the details, but I have lost my job last year and am now unemployed and there is not the option in that section for unemployed people. The only options are "An employee", "A business partner", "Self-employed" or "A director". So if I'm unemployed which option should I tick? And if I need to tick one which details should I write at part 3.3 and 3.4 which requires name and address of employer or business? I'm a Job Seeker at the moment and I'm registered with the Job Seeker Scheme. Should I use their details as my employer?
2) The payment fee for the application (both me and my wife together) can it be sent in the same envelope and can it be paid with a cheque?
I believe that is all I need to know
Thanks in advance
