UK BA Shambles - Paying for PEO and decision delayed?

Post by crusador0408 » Wed Mar 13, 2013 2:30 pm

Hello list,

As subject says, I am disappointed how my PEO experience turned out!

My appointment was at 2:30PM (liverpool PEO) y'day and I entered 1:45 PM, no questions asked. I sat inside, went for initial checks and then paid for application. It took me almost 1 hr 30 mins wait for get my turn. Once there, I came to know there are some issues going on with their systems as they can't verify my biometrics against thr national database. My CW told me I will be informed by post in few days and will get all my documents in a recorded delivery.

It's pretty straightforward case, I have been employed by same employer and same bank account without any exceeding absences or delays in employment.
Regarding documents (for those preparing), basic original docs were asked. i.e. payslips, bank statements, app form, photos and I also provided xerox for all of these. I asked specifically if they need hsmp+tier1 docs, HMRC, P60's they said no and have already HSMP/Tier1 extension info with them.

I know it wasn't her fault, but how much really it takes for UK BA to upgrade/troubleshoot the bottleneck issues? It's amazing they ask for premium and not delivering the service. There was no good experience in terms of professionalism and I felt there is total lack of privacy when you are in waiting hall and pretty much hear what a CW is discussing with an applicant. For instance, if a question is popped about your salary or something, is it worth really talking about in front of everyone? That's different case if you aren't bothered about disclosing your salary. It's not what I paid for premium service!

Anybody else here went through this?
I have my ILR since march 2013, previously based on HSMP+Tier1 ext. All views are my own, am not a professional on immigration matters.

Same happened in my case on 12th March at PEO Croydon

Post by hsmp2ilrapp » Thu Mar 14, 2013 12:59 pm

Same happened with my case on 12th March at PEO Croydon.
Appointment Time: 9:40 AM
Reached HO at 9:00 AM

It was fine up-to our biometrics done at 11:15 AM
Caseworker called us at 12:05 PM for ILR application - after 10 minutes of initial assessment she looks happy and ask us to wait until she finishes the process.

At 1:02 PM she called us back to confirm that, she nearly done our case but there is an issue as they are experiencing delays in their Biometric background checks with National Database and the process might take up to 3 hours to complete. She told us to come back at 2:30 PM.

When we went back to caseworker at 2:30 PM - same story and again we were told to wait as the background Police checks systems failure has occurred and they are trying to restore the service and after that she can confirm what will my application outcome.

At 5:30 PM after 5 hours of long wait - finally they announced the system is still not restored and in some cases they might ask applicants to process their biometric again. It was a shocker and we were completely down after 5 hours of continuous wait.

In short they have now retained my application & passports and told us to wait for their return call which will be within 2 days - today is the 2nd day and we are not sure when Croydon PEO caseworkers process my application.

I have seen many people going back empty handed after they paid for this shit premium PEO service - Croydon PEO is worse and caseworkers don't bother about applicants - waiting area is not confortable at all.
Only 1 Biometric Desks opened out of 4 at a time - very slow process.

My lawer told to me about Croydon PEO as caseworkers are too lazy to process any applications - there was total 243 PEO appointments on 13th March at Croydon PEO and I can only 2/3 desks opens at a time to process 243 applicants. Its very busy out there - we paid a lot of money for visa application and in return they don't bother.

Still waiting for my decision... Share your experience please.
thanks

Received a letter today with my passports and documents! It does not say about ILR approval but I am assuming it's approved because I did not receive a refusal document:)
It contains wording that your BRP will be with you in 7 days.

Million gazillion thanks to the forum!! I will be here to help others too.

Re: UK BA Shambles - Paying for PEO and decision delayed?

Post by Vinee » Wed Aug 20, 2014 1:10 pm

Hi,

I applied for FLR(m) UK spouse visa on 12th of July 2014 using a Premium service. The decision was not been made on the same day because the assessor needed extra payslips and bank statements. She said she will make the decision asap after she get these documents. I sent these extra documents the next working day. I am switching from tier 2 sponsorship visa to spouse visa. Also i changed my employer 5 days before applying for my visa. I thought i will be able to work with the new employer. But unfortunately after working for a week with the new employer i came to know that i cannot work with them. So i had to quit the job. Its almost more than a month now no decision has been made on my application, i have lost my job, i am living in a temporary accommodation. This is such a pain even after choosing a premium service you cannot get a result as you expect. I am not sure what to do? Has anyone faced the same situation? Or anyone have got any suggestions?

Thanks
