I think the rule is your parents would have to be wholly dependent on you, financially as well.

How does one answer the 'close relatives' question of the application??? Blood close but not much else.

Can I apply for them once I have ILR?
I don't think it's that simple but I'm not an expert here.

They would have to be totally dependent on you, ie have no income at all or family in their home country.

Unfortunately it's the ECO's u need to convince and they are notoriously unsympathetic.
