HSMP VS. Working Holiday Visa

Post by vjuk » Sun Mar 25, 2007 6:08 pm

Hello,

As my US work permit is drawing to a close, I am planning to move to London and work there. I have few questions regarding UK visas that would allow me to work in London.

1. Which visa is easist and fastest to get thru - Work Permit / HSMP / Working Holiday visa ?

2. If I go to UK on a working holiday visa, is it possible to transfer to HSMP once I am in UK, after working few months there?

3. Can I apply for HSMP / working holiday visa independently without a lawyer? What would you recommend - Doing independently or through an agency?

4. If I have to go via an agency to apply for visa, how can I find a reliable agency?

5. What is the prevailing processing time for a Work Permit / HSMP / Working Holiday visa ?

I am in a desperate situation as I have to move out of the US by May 30, 2007. So I need to have UK visa prior to May 30. Please advice.

I would appreciate an early response.

Thanks.
