Adv and Distadvantages of Dependants applying with main appl

Post by cappachino » Sun Apr 07, 2013 6:58 pm

Hello
What are the advantages and disadvantages of dependants applying with the main applicant Tier 1 pounds 200000 (Applying from Pakistan)
One advantage I see is that if for any reason the application gets rejected you dont loose the huge amount paid as fees especially in case of rejection and you need to reapply

You are correct. There is no advantage of applying at the same time. Once you get the visa, you can apply for dependents very next day. Only requirement is maintenance funds.. Thats it.

Better to apply first and when successful than apply for dependant as if you visa refused than all dependants application also refused and you will get right of appeal and dependant wont so better apply for dependant once you got the visa ...... also check the below link might be very helpful

If the dependants apply separate later on, then how the maintainance statement will affect then which is already been used with the main applicant?

First scenario in my relative's case is:

He has maintained PKR-1,100,000/- for himself and 2 dependants. Will he b able to use the same statement for his dependants? Case worker might object on this or not?

Second option offcourse will be more safe to maintain separate bank statement for dependants and then use that separate statement with main applicants statement (which is been used first time as well).

How should they proceed?

Will it be definitely possible or not to use the same statement twice as mentioned above in scenario 1?

In my view you can use the same statment as long as the amount has been there for 3 months at he time of the dependants application.
Also the amount that has been used for the main applicant on the statemnt cannot be used for the dependants but the statment can be used. So the 3100 pounds are for the main and 3200 pounds for the dependants. You can withdraw the 3100 if you want but the amount after withdrawl cannot go below the 3200 (3 months)
If you want to play it safe dont withdraw the main applicants amount and keep the money there with the dependants amount. use the statment for both as long as it is not older than 1 month for both the cases

Will it be definitely possible or not to use the same statement twice as mentioned above in scenario 1?
